ONG works to repair E. Tulsa gas line leak

TULSA – HAZMAT made it on scene to a reported gas leak in east Tulsa prompted buildings to evacuate.

Tulsa fire says Thursday a gas line ruptured near 4373 S. 93rd East Avenue leading to a leakage; people in the area were evacuated as a safety precaution.

Stan May with the Tulsa Fire Dept. says city crews were cleaning out a sewer line and hit a one inch line around 4:30 p.m. The line is currently being repaired and the leak has stopped. 

ONG has a crew working to fix the line, which was temporarily plugged. 

Officers from the Tulsa Police Dept. assisted in traffic control and evacuation. Those previously evacuated were allowed back into the building they were asked to leave.
