The Tulsa Fire Department responded to a house fire in a historic midtown neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters say a resident and a pet made it out safely. The fire started in a detached garage and then spread to the home's attic.
They responded to the house on Lewiston Gardens neighborhood around midnight at the 2500 E. 18th St.
Fire crews had some challenges battling the flames as they quickly spread, so they called a second alarm for backup. It took them between 15 to 20 minutes to completely put out the flames.
There were no injuries.
