TULSA - Authorities reopened a downtown street after investigating calls of a suspicious vehicle at the federal building.

Denver Ave between 2nd St. and 6th St. was temporarily shut down as the Tulsa Fire Dept. investigated the scene at the Page Belcher Federal Building at 4th and Denver.

Tulsa police say a witness called them after noticing a man park his car in a “no parking zone” and then run away, prompting their concern.

A bomb squad checked out the scene and were unable to detect anything that could possible endanger anyone in the area.

Later, police say they located the driver who explained he was “late for an event at the convention center.”

No citation was issued for the man.
