TULSA, Okla. — Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in south Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Fire Department.
Crews arrived at The Lakes on Thursday afternoon near 81st and Riverside.
The fire was mainly contained to one apartment, TFD officials said. The surrounding apartments did suffer smoke and water damage.
Officials said there were no injuries.
Andy Little, public information officer with the Tulsa Fire Department, told 2 Works for You the cause of fire was due to an improper disposal of smoking materials.
"We always recommend that if you are going to smoke, just be careful," Little said.
