TULSA, Okla. — Travis Bramblet has lived in his Tulsa home for six years, and in May, a neighbor noticed his retaining wall was leaning.

That neighbor then offered to help, but things didn't turn out as well as they thought.

"To come home, and not be able to use my own yard, is crazy," Bramblet said.

Bramblet hasn't been able to use his backyard in months.

"I see all these mountains of dirt, and there is nothing I can do," Bramblet said. "I don't have the equipment. I don't have the money. I explained I don't have those things before we started."

Construction on the new retaining wall started with his neighbors help, but it was never finished.

The yard was destroyed, and now Bramblet needs help to get it done.

"My one year old that my wife just took upstairs has never played in our backyard, never," Bramblet said. "We got snow the other day, we ran outside in the little front yard that we have, because our backyard is gone."

He doesn't know what to do, so he turned to the problem solvers.

"My wife can't even use our garage because stuff we used to store outside," Bramblet said. "We don't have anywhere to put. Now when it's raining, snowing, my wife has to carry the baby outside and put her in the car in the snow and the rain."

After months of looking at dirt and puddles, the Bramblet family has set up a GoFundMe in hopes of raising enough money to fix the wall, and be able to use their backyard again.

"I literally have exhausted all resources," Bramblet " I don't have the money. I have exhausted all of my retirement, but I don't have enough funding in there."
