A group whose mission is to add value to our community is facing a big blow.
The Tulsa Dream Center's playground caught fire over the weekend.
Now instead of children playing, yellow tape is blocking off the entrance.
"Some kids were watching as the fire was be put out," said Director of Programs Tim Newton. "One girl ran and gave me a hug. She was crying. It broke my heart."
The original playground cost about $85,000 and the center expects it to cost a little more to replace.
They hope to have it fixed by Christmas, though the timeline depends on how fast donations come in.
