TULSA — A Tulsa County Sheriff's Office sergeant was recognized Thursday for his work overseeing the county's hundreds of sex offenders.

Sergeant Randy Chapman was honored with an award for community awareness.

The Sheriff's Office uses software to keep track of the 300 registered sex offenders in Tulsa County.

Officials say Chapman goes above and beyond to collect data on every offender for that database.
