TCSO acting sheriff, chief deputy to retire

TULSA – The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office acting sheriff and chief deputy have announced their intentions to leave.

According to a Public Information Officer Justin Green, current Acting Sheriff Richard Weigel and Chief Deputy John Bowman have come forward to say they intend to retire. A specific date as to when their last day would be has not been announced.

The TCSO spokesperson went on to say that a statement would be sent sometime Tuesday with the announcement.

Weigel took over as the acting sheriff following Stanley Glanz’s resignation in November of last year.
