Posted

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is seeking help from the public in the death of Gerasia Thompson.

Officials said Thompson's boyfriend claimed she died after falling from his Chevrolet Tahoe on Avery Drive near Chandler Park in the early morning on Friday, June 15.

Thompson succumbed to her injuries Saturday, officials said.

Thompson's boyfriend told detectives that after Thompson fell, he placed her in his Tahoe and drove to his home near Apache and Lewis before heading to the hospital, officials said.

On his way to the hospital, Thompson's boyfriend said he ran out of gas on the eastbound Broken Arrow Expressway before the Utica exit - when a man stopped to offer assistance, officials said.

Officials said they want to identify and speak to this witness.

Detectives said they would also like to speak to anyone who saw Thompson and her boyfriend, or the Tahoe, between the time they left the Warehouse Bar and Grill, which is located at 33rd and Peoria, at approximately 1:45 a.m. and the time the boyfriend took Thompson to St. John Medical Center at 3:10 a.m.

Officials are also asking residents and businesses that have surveillance cameras and may have captured the Tahoe to contact them at 918-596-5601.
