TULSA COUNTY — Lifeguards are a life-saving resource for any family spending time poolside -- but it looks like they are hard to come by this summer.
Tulsa County Parks say they are struggling to fill the role for their pools.
The parks department says they will have to change how they operate if applications don't pick up.
That could mean swimming pools being guarded fewer hours or days.
And even the possibility some pools will stay closed.
So far they've filled about ten of the 35 spots they need.
They are even increasing pay from $8.50 an hour to $9.25 an hour.
