TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Community College turns 50 today!

The school opened in 1970 as the first public higher education institution in Tulsa.

TCC has touched many lives in the decades since. Among them, the man who is now the provost of the Provost Southeast Campus.

"I went into teaching as a profession because I was so inspired by the professors I had here at Tulsa Community College," Greg Stone said. "I'm not sure who I would be without this institution."

TCC has grown from 2,800 students to more than 23,000 students across several campuses.
