TULSA -- The Tulsa County Clerk of Court's Office is warning of a new scam going around.

The office says they have received several calls over the last few weeks letting them know about the scam.

People are receiving calls and the person on the other end of the line is demanding payments to "ease warrants." People who have been contacted say the caller identifies themselves as an employee of the Clerk of Court Office.

The people contacted are told they can use gift cards as payment.

The Clerk of Court's Office does not want people to fall for it.

"We do not place external calls and it appears to be a new scam going around," Randy Proffitt, Second Deputy at the Tulsa Clerk of Court Office, said.
