TULSA, Okla. — Dr. Dart met with Tulsa City Council on Wednesday and recommended the city requires masks for kids 10 and up.

Dart said the recommendation is because children 10 and above have the same viral load as an adult when it comes to coronavirus.

Although COVID-19 cases declined last week, the Tulsa Health Department continues to see the highest number of cases coming from schools.

During a press conference on Sept. 17, Mayor G.T. Bynum said he is going to discuss THD's recommendation on Friday, Sept. 18 on how to get it in front of the council for a potential vote in the near future.
