TULSA-- City councilors unanimously approved a final version of the Vision sales tax program.
The program includes a permanent sales tax for public safety, a permanent sales tax for transportation and streets and a 15-year sales tax for economic development.
These three components will appear on the April 5 ballot.

Thursday night, more than a dozen Tulsa residents spoke up about the plan. Some were upset about renewing the tax, others were upset about the projects the plan funds.
“There are some good things in it, but overall I am not pleased and I would not recommend people vote for this,” Tracie Chandler, Tulsa resident said.
Many, though, supported the plan for its strong investment in public safety.
“You can't have development in Tulsa without citizens and visitors, we think it all goes together and we hope the entire package passes,” said Sgt. Clay Ballenger, Tulsa FOP President.
Councilors plan to have town hall meetings to answer any questions before the April election.
