Tulsa Christmas Parade announces 'Christmas Cheer of Yesteryear' theme for 2016 parade

TULSA - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Ok, maybe not, but that didn't stop the organizers of the Tulsa Christmas Parade from announcing this year's theme.

"Christmas Cheer of Yesteryear" is the theme for the 2016 Tulsa Christmas Parade.

Tulsa is celebrating nine decades of having the parade, and the organizers are looking for floats from the 20s, 30s and on up to today.

This year's parade is downtown at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10. The route will be the same as last year.

It starts at on Boston Ave. between 7th and 8th St. The route heads north to 3rd, where the floats will turn west. The route continues south on Boulder Ave. and comes to an end between 7th and 8th St.
