TULSA, Okla. — Eye catching murals are popping up all across the nation, including Tulsa.

The murals are hard to miss considering they’re on almost every block in downtown Tulsa.

Monday morning another mural, commissioned by the Arts Alliance of Tulsa, is going to be unveiled.

Painted by Colorpop Art Lab, owner Scott Taylor said it feels like a renaissance is happening in Tulsa, with the murals highlighting Tulsa’s rich history.

Taylor said the new mural is joining the dozens of other art pieces adorning the Tulsa Arts District and shows the district at a glance, representing the arts and music scene, businesses and local celebrities.

“It’s really cool to see murals and just more color and beauty and diversity happening all over the city and it’s cool to have a part in that and create something out of your heart that you really labor over and you want to be amazing,” said Taylor.

Art is not only catching the attention of Tulsans.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, arts and culture produce $135 billion dollars in economic activity.

The unveiling will be at 11 am Monday morning on the corner of North Boston Avenue and East Reconciliation Way.
