Tulsa Area United Way's "Day of Caring"

TULSA — It's going to be a busy day for volunteers, as more than 5,000 people will take on nearly 450 projects across the Tulsa area.

Today is the Tulsa Area United Way's annual "Day of Caring" event.

Officials say they will be unveiling the goal of this year's campaign during the Jenks - Bixby High School football game this Friday.

The announcement will take place during halftime of the game.

The annual Tulsa Area United Way campaign for the community will run through Nov. 6.

The local United Way supports 59 partner agencies in areas of education, health, safety and financial stability.
