TULSA – Since 2008, Don the explosives detection dog for the Tulsa International Airport has been keeping travelers safe and now he is retiring.

Over the years, Don and his handler, Tulsa police officer B.D. Stinnett, have been checking unattended luggage and doing routine patrols to ensure the public’s safety. Don has even provided protective bomb sweeps for politicians, musicians and dignitaries throughout his career.

Don’s retirement party is scheduled to take place on May 6.

Congratulations and thank you for your service, Don!
