TSA, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety to hold briefing on REAL ID

TULSA, Okla. — Today at 3:30 p.m., TSA and the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety will be having a media briefing on REAL ID.

Oklahoma Department of Public Safety officials say the briefing will include Oklahoma Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Scully and TSA officials.

Officials say beginning Oct. 1, 2020, passengers will need a REAL ID or other accceptable form of ID to board a commercial flight in all US airports.

This media briefing will talk about the satus of REAL ID in Oklahoma, including when Oklahomans can start getting a REAL ID in advance of the Oct. 1, 2020 deadline.

The briefing will take place at the Tulsa International Airport.
