Tropical storm Harvey is impacting gas prices in Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. -- Oklahoma is already feeling the impact of tropical storm Harvey at the gas pump. 

Gas prices in Tulsa area spiked in the past couple of days due to the shutdown of oil refineriesin Texas following the severe flooding.

The latest information from AAA reports the average in Tulsa is $2.32 per gallon for unleaded compared to a week ago at $2.10.

The national average is $2.44 per gallon.

There are several gas stations in Tulsa like QuikTrip and Sinclair that increased prices by 20 cents or more.

On Wednesday morning, the price for regular gas was $2.49 per gallon at the Sinclair gas station at 81st and Sheridan.
