Tribal Gaming Dispute Impacts Education

Another potential hit for Oklahoma education because of the ongoing casino dispute between tribes and the governor.

Tribes pay exclusivity payments to the state to operate casinos.

If those were to be disrupted as the gaming dispute drags on, it would impact the state budget.

Governor Kevin Stitt is now calling for up to $140 million to replace funds the state would normally receive from tribal gaming.

That money would come from the state's "Rainy Day Fund."
