Traffic collision turns into minor standoff

Posted

TULSA – What began as a traffic collision soon escalated into a standoff with police this week.

Tulsa police were called to 51st and Memorial to investigate reports of a collision and when they arrived the suspect, Ian Moore, 20, refused to comply with their orders.

After refusing to obey commands, Moore hid in the cab of his pickup truck with several knives and continued to ignore orders from officers.

Eventually the suspect agreed to surrender and hand over his weapons.
When in police custody, several drugs, pipes and syringes were found in Moore’s possession.

Moore was then booked into the Tulsa County Jail for improper backing, leaving the scene of a property damage collision, resisting arrest, possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and various traffic charges.
