TULSA -- Tulsa Public Schools officials voted unanimously Monday night to not hold school during the upcoming general election.
The election day will be Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Officials said the closure of school was done to highlight the importance for teachers and students to be active civically, to allow teachers and students the opportunity to work at polls.
