TULSA, Okla. — Authorities are investigating after a suspect allegedly shot their former roommate in north Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

It happened Thursday afternoon near East Independence Street and North Richmond Drive. The suspect shot the victim in the shoulder, police said. The victim is expected to be okay.

Police said they took the suspect into custody.

Authorities described the details surrounding the case as "very convoluted."

Police did not release the suspect's identity, because they say it is not clear at this point if there will be more charges regarding the shooting. As they continue to investigate, police said they may come to the conclusion that the shooting was justified.

This is an ongoing investigation.
