TULSA — UPDATE: Police say the standoff that took place near 51st and Lewis Avenue was in connection to a homicide investigation from Monday night.

The stand off, police say, is in connection to a homicide investigation that launched last night after investigators found the body of 30-year-old Princeton Porter at the Avondale Apartments around 9:30 p.m.

This morning police found and followed the victim's vehicle.

Police say the men in the vehicle got out and ran into one of the apartments, at that point, officers and multiple special teams surrounded the apartment building.

Two men were taken into custody by police.

Multiple people are being questioned right now in connection to both the homicide and the stolen vehicle, but so far that is the only thing connecting the men in custody to the homicide.

Police say the two men have not been charged as of yet.
