TULSA — Tulsa police arrested and booked a juvenile in connection to the Northwest Tulsa shooting Sunday morning.

Police say the victim was invited inside an apartment and was hanging out for some time.

Hours later, the suspect who lived at the apartment confronted him, police say.

The victim left the apartment in an attempt to get away from the suspect, but the suspect followed him outside and shot the victim.

Officers say the suspect left the scene, but after his mother and officers contacted him, he returned to the scene and surrendered himself.
According to Tulsa police, officers responded to shots fired call early Sunday morning near Osage Drive.

Officers arrived at 746 North Osage Drive and learned a victim was shot in the torso, police say.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

While police were investigating the scene, a man crossed the yellow tape with his hands up, officers say.

Police arrested the man and took him away for questioning.

The man has not been identified yet, and there is no word if he is connected to the shooting.

This is a developing story.
