TULSA, Okla — The Tulsa Police Department announced the loss of former police chief Harry Stege.
Stege joined the police department in 1955. He served as Tulsa's Chief of Police from 1978 till his retirement in 1983.
Stege is credited for bringing the Aviation Unit to the Tulsa Police Department, as well as introducing a computerized records system.
