TPD: Man shot for not giving suspect his cell phone

TULSA — Tulsa police are investigating after a man was shot near Lacy Park Tuesday night.

Police said just around 10 p.m. a man was found in the 2200 block of North Madison Avenue with a gunshot wound to his lower torso.

The victim told police a suspect approached him and demanded him to give up his phone.

The victim told a suspect no and that's when the suspect shot him and took off with the victim's phone, police said.

Police said the victim was transported and is stable.

Police said they are not releasing any more details about the suspect at this time.
