TULSA — In the late hours on Wednesday night, Tulsa police took a suspect into custody after a short pursuit in the area of East 11th and South Lewis Avenue.
Police say officers initiated a traffic stop after observing extremely loud music coming from a vehicle.
The driver refused to stop and after a short pursuit, the driver fled from the vehicle on foot, police say.
The suspect ran between houses and through yards, police say. Air support helped the officers to locate the suspect and they were able to quickly apprehend him and take him into custody without any problems.
Police say the suspect refused to identify himself however officers were able to find identification, along with a small amount of marijuana, in the vehicle, and identify him as Shelby Marina.
Marina was found to have outstanding warrants for Assault and Battery on a police officer after former conviction of a felony, driving under the influence, and escape from arrest, police say.
Police say Marina was booked for his warrant, possession of marijuana, eluding, and obstruction.
