OWASSO, Okla. – After leading authorities on a vehicle chase that exceeded 100 mph, one man was taken into custody while a dog that was inside the vehicle during the chase is now at a local shelter.
Tulsa police say the chase started on Highway 169 for a traffic complaint. When the driver Dallas Woods, 35, sped into Owasso city limits, Owasso police took over the chase.
Woods was booked on complaint of driving under the influence second offense, eluding and endangering others, transporting an open container, speeding, changing lanes unsafely and cruelty to animals.
He was later arrested by authorities after the chase ended. The dog inside the vehicle was taken to a nearby shelter.
