Man in critical condition after officer-involved shooting at 43rd and Peoria

TULSA — Investigators responded to an officer-involved shooting in a shopping center parking lot near 43rd and Peoria early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to reports of shots fired just after 7 a.m. near a shopping center.

Once officers arrived at the scene, TPD Public Information Officer Jeannie Pierce confirmed there was an officer-involved shooting.

The man shot, identified as Donald Berry, 58, was reported to be in critical condition.

The officer who shot the man is on paid administrative leave during the investigation.

Peoria Avenue has reopened between 43rd and 45th Streets after being closed for the investigation.
