TULSA — Tulsa police are investigating after a man dies from stabbing at an apartment complex in north Tulsa.
When police arrived at the Pioneer Plaza, near North Elgin Avenue and East Jasper Street, to reports of a stabbing, they found a woman sitting in blood in the hallway of the 3rd floor.
Police say they quickly found she had not been stabbed and she pointed police to an apartment.
Police found a man laying on the floor in front of the door, bleeding profusely from a large cut on his arm and at least one to his chest. Police say the man was taken to a local hospital, where he passed away. Police identified the man as 68-year-old Joel Timmons.
Police said a witness told police the woman in the hallway was the suspect. Police took the woman into custody.
Police have not released the identity of the suspect.
