TULSA--Tulsa police chase down a man and arrest him after trying to pull him over.

Just before 4am on Thursday, a Tulsa Police officer attempted to pull over a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner in the 3300 block of W. Admiral Blvd.

According to  police, the suspect attempted to elude the officer by driving east bound on W. Admiral Blvd. and getting on I-244 east bound.

Police say the suspect drove around the area of Charles Page Blvd. and eventually ditched the vehicle in a wooded area at the `100 block of S. Rosedale Avenue.

TPD says that the man ran through a wooded area. Officers searched the area then arrested Matthew Clayton Tarbox. Police determined that the vehicle recovered had been stolen the day before.

Tarbox is booked at Tulsa County jail on complaints of Possession of Stolen Vehicle; Eluding and Running Roadblock.
