TULSA--Tulsa Police say enough evidence has developed to arrest Javonta Williams in connection with the shooting death of Odean Johnson. Williams was already jailed at David L Moss on a shooting charge.
Police say on May 11, 2017 the body of Odean Johnson was found shot to death in the roadway at 1500 E 60th St.
According to police, Williams’s girlfriend,Telisha Williams, attempted to alibi her boyfriend for the night/morning of the murder. TPD says this added to the confusion of the investigation, however, police say Javonta Williams was placed at the scene of the murder contrary to Ms. Williams statements.
TPD has also arrested Telisha Williams due to what police say say is willful lying to mislead the investigation. Telisha Williams has been arrested for Accessory to Murder.
Police say the motive for the murder of Odean Johnson is under investigation. Authorities say that dispute over stolen property, robbery of cash and or drugs or gang affiliations could all have played a part in the death of Johnson.
