TULSA--Police arrest a homeless man wanted in connection with a September stabbing and sexual assault.

Jerome  Adams was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for forcible sodomy AFCF, Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon AFCF and his outstanding municipal warrant.

On September 11, an officer responded to the area of 317 S. Denver Avenue to assist EMSA personnel at the location.

The officer located a female stabbing victim receiving medical care for multiple lacerations and stab wounds. Police say the victim reported being waved down by a black male suspect while walking around the area of 200 S. Frisco Avenue.

TPD says the suspect took the victim to an unknown location, later identified by officers as 222 S. Houston Avenue. Officials say the suspect pulled a knife and placed it to the victim’s throat and  threatened to kill her if she did not perform oral sex on him.

Police say the suspect repeatedly stabbed and cut the female victim, and the victim was able to survive the attack by fighting off the suspect and running for help.

Detectives identified Jerome Adams as the primary suspect on October 18, and the impact team was able to provide assistance in locating Adams within a few hours.

Officer Tim Stendel located Adams near 500 S. Detroit and took him into custody for a misdemeanor warrant where he later confessed to the crime on September 11.
