Tulsa Police are investigating the death of a 6-week-old girl. The infant's mother and babysitter told officers they discovered the girl was not breathing and took her to a fire station at 3005 East 15th Street.

Officers say firefighters attempted to revive the child, but were unsuccessful.

EMSA pronounced the child  dead at 8:38 a.m. Police say the Department of Human Services, the medical examiner and a police chaplain all responded to infant's death.

TPD says there were no signs of trauma to the infant. The cause of death is currently under investigation.
