Police say four teenagers are in custody and another one remains outstanding following a pursuit on the Broken Arrow Expressway Sunday night.
Officers say the suspects were driving in a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a burglary that occurred around 2 p.m. in the 5800 block of South 92nd East Avenue. They say the pursuit started when officers spotted a dark Honda with paper tags in the area just after 7 p.m.
Police say they chased the car for 10 minutes as it fled north to the BA Expressway with speeds up to 70 miles per hour. They say the vehicle spun out in the westbound lanes near East 21st Street. Police say no one was hurt and the vehicle was reported stolen out of north Tulsa.
Officers say they immediately took three teens into custody and two others fled on foot. They say a K-9 unit was able to track one of them when he stopped at a home and pretended to be lost. They say they are still searching for the fifth suspect last seen wearing a red hoodie.
Police say they found stolen items in the car along with live ammunition. They say they did not recover any weapons.
