Officers say a woman is dead after a hit-and-run collision at Virgin and Peoria about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The woman was northbound on Peoria when a westbound male driver blew through the intersection and slammed into her vehicle, according to police.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man ran away and police are looking for him, officers say.
TPD has closed the intersection to traffic while they process the scene. Officers say they could be searching for the man for a few hours, so drivers will need to take an alternative route.
