TULSA - The trooper seen chasing a cow across a busy Green Country road spoke with 2 Works for You Tuesday.
Trooper Chad Duerte says sometimes OHP has to chase down cows, especially in rural communities, but never on I-244.
The cow didn't make it easy on Duerte either, using every trick in the book to avoid capture.
Eventually, Duerte caught up with the cow and tied it to a sign. So far, wranglers have caught two dozen cows.
Tuesday, crews were back in the woods on horseback, looking for others.
Trooper Duerte says it's an experience he won't soon forget. While observers may want to help, OHP says it's best to leave it to stay in vehicles until trained professionals can respond.
