TULSA -- The George Kaiser Family Foundation's donation of over 200 acres of Turkey Mountain property to the River Parks Authority was approved at a board meeting Thursday.
The 200 acres were already a part of the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness area, on the west end where the pink trail is located.
The title on the land will be transferred to the River Parks Authority to ensure that the land will remain a public park land.
The decision is subject to approvals by the city of Tulsa and Tulsa County.
