TULSA — Demolition crews busted down breast cancer as they tore down a pink building in north Tulsa.
Freedom Homes began demo Thursday near the traffic circle at Admiral and Mingo, which used to be the location of Freedom Homes' office.
The old building was painted pink in support of Susan G. Komen in Tulsa.
Freedom Homes Manager William Long wife was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, so he contacted Komen Tulsa for advice.
“I wanted to raise the level of breast cancer awareness in Tulsa,” said Long. “I decided to just paint the whole building pink before we knock it down and run a bulldozer through it.”
