Three arrested, including mother, for alleged extended abuse towards children all under age five

STILLWATER, Okla. – Three people, including the mother, were arrested after allegedly abusing children, ages ranging from one to four.

Initially police were called to an apartment complex located at 1815 North Boomer Road to investigate a reported assault. When they arrived, the information given stated that three young children and their mother, Breyannah Rivers, 28, were physically abused for an extended amount of time.

The children and Rivers were taken to a nearby hospital for questioning and care where their injuries were confirmed as a result of the alleged abuse.

As the investigation continued, Stillwater police arrested Shawan LaViolette, 34, for domestic assault, battery-second. Octavia St. Julien, 26, was also arrested for domestic assault and battery.

After the pair was arrested, Stillwater police say they eventually arrested Rivers for child abuse as well.

Currently, the children are being cared for in DHS custody.
