COWETA-- A third student was arrested Wednesday after threats were made to the Donald P. Sloat Junior High earlier this week.

Coweta Police Department arrested two students at the junior high who admitted to making threats against the school.

In the latest arrest Wednesday, Coweta Police arrested a 9th grade boy on one complaint of threats to perform a violent act and one complaint of perpetuating a terrorist hoax, but made it clear that this arrest did not necessarily have a connection to the first two arrests. This is a separate incident, Coweta Police said.

They also stated that they do not believe any actual threat existed at the school Wednesday.

It is still an ongoing investigation.

Police say, in the first two arrests, the students did not have weapons but since they admitted to making threats, they were arrested.

Both students are juveniles.
