BROKEN ARROW — The 2019 swimming pool season in Broken Arrow is coming to an end, Broken Arrow officials announced.
Officials say the city of Broken Arrow must close the pools before the school year begins because the majority of the pool staff are college and high school students who need to prepare for the new school year.
The last days for the BA city pools to be open are as follows:
- Country Aire Pool's last is Aug. 6
- Family Aquatic Center at Central Park's last day is Aug. 10
- Nienhuis Aquatic Facility's last day is Aug. 16
Officials say several seasonal splash pads will remain open, daily, from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
