The 2019 Tulsa Pride Parade happened today at 6p.m. passing through parts of downtown Tulsa.
The parade starts at 13th and Boston Avenue, travels north on Boston Avenue through the Deco District, turns right at 4th Street and heads down Pride Street to the Tulsa Pride Festival at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center.
An estimated thirty thousand people are attending the 39th Annual Pride Festival.
However, it's only the 20th year for the parade, which marches down Pride Street.
An organizer said the event is also about celebrating growth.
Toby Jenkins, Oklahoman's for Equality & Tulsa Pride, told us "We have the most corporate sponsors, the most parade entries we've ever had, 126 this year. Which is very encouraging for us to see so many companies supporting inclusion and diversity in the workplace."
The Tulsa Pride Festival runs until 9 p.m.
Tulsa Pride will continue June 2nd with Pride in the Park.
