TULSA - A dozen residents were forced out of their homes after an apartment fire in east Tulsa.

The Tulsa Fire Department says the fire started on a balcony at the Sawmill Apartments. Officials say wind caused the flames to spread into the attic area.

The Red Cross is assisting with those who have been displaced for the night.

A total of eight units were affected. No one was injured during the fire.
