TULSA -- The season of giving is ramping up in Green Country. One local organization teamed up with Tulsa firefighters to make life a bit easier for a deserving Tulsa family.

Vickie Martin takes care of her four grand-kids. Her granddaughter, Daisy, needs surgery on both of her legs to correct a genetic disorder.

Daisy will be wheelchair bound for several months after her surgery. The day before her first procedure, Tulsa firefighters volunteered to build a ramp outside Daisy's home so she can get in and out on her wheelchair.

"The wheel chair and the ramp…it’s going to be a lot of worries off our lives," said Martin.

The firefighters worked with New Hope nonprofit to also deliver Christmas gifts to the family.
