Texas Sheriff's Office issues Blue Alert for suspect after officer seriously injured

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — The Henderson County Sheriff's Office in Texas has issued a Blue Alert after a law enforcement officer was seriously injured.

The Sheriff's Office is searching for Jeremy Brian Cook, a 39-year-old man, in connection with the officer's injury. He was described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, 230 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Blue Alert has been activated out of Texas for Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Officials say Cook was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a license plate number of BR7-1002. Officials believe the suspect is a serious risk or threat to the public and other law enforcement personnel.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 903-675-6311.
