MUSKOGEE, Okla. – A teen in Muskogee was shocked Monday morning when he awoke to find a stranger in his home, supposedly cleaning the house.

The 17-year-old told the Muskogee Phoenix that he called his mother right away after finding a man he did not know asleep on the couch. After his mother confirmed that the man was not supposed to be in their house, the teen found his brother and the two rushed to leave.

The father of the boys, Robert Felts, told the Muskogee Phoenix that as the boys were leaving, they noticed the stranger was off the couch and sweeping the floor.

“By this time, he’d gotten up off the couch and was sweeping the kitchen floor,” Felts told the Muskogee Phoenix. “So, he was very high and disoriented on drugs.”

When the mother arrived home, the man had shut and locked the door of the house, reports the Muskogee Police Dept. Then he fled from the home, taking a bicycle and heading west.

Felts says his wife, Wendy Felts, was able to snap a picture of the man before he ran from their house.

Robert Felts says at that time, he was heading home from work when he noticed a man that fit the description jump into a car.

“He got away from us again,” Felts told the Muskogee Phoenix. “Somebody came rolling up in a car and he jumped in and they ran off.”

The possible getaway car was described as a light brown, or champagne, color. It was a 2007 Chevrolet Impala, as reported by Felts.

The man supposedly left a bag of what police found to be drug paraphernalia, reports the Muskogee Phoenix. But, according to Robert Felts, he did not finish sweeping the house.
