The Give-N-Grab event was deigned five years ago, by teachers for teachers.
Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association, TCTA, sets out hundreds of items in their back parking lot for this event.
It's similar to a huge garage sale with just classroom supplies, all for free.
Retiring teachers begin donating supplies around March before they leave, because they know most new teachers are expected to fill the room out of their own pocket.
Supplies include decorations, books, teaching materials, and even supplies for students that need them like pens, pencils, or notebooks.
New teachers say stocking the classroom can be a financial hit, but events like these relieve the pressure back-to-school brings.
Latoya Shumate, a first year teacher at Central High School, tells us "it helps tremendously. It's a no-brainer, because it's not really about you. You're really coming here thinking about what do my kiddos need?"
TCTA says rain or shine, they'll continue this event for years to come.
